Hi there, I'm Mark Wagner and I have proudly been a part of ATS for the past 3 months. After seven years of traveling the world, I’ve finally found my home in beautiful Portugal. I'm passionate about surfing and outdoor activities and spend as much time as I can in nature with my gorgeous girlfriend and my loyal dog by my side.

Volunteering for the non-profit organization Open Ocean is one of my most fulfilling activities. We provide barrier-free activities and inclusive projects related to surfing and create a protected meeting space both in the water and on land, living diversity and inclusion. I believe in dedicating my time to things that truly matter and bring meaning to my life.

My travels have given me a deep appreciation for different cultures and experiences, and I'm excited to continue making a positive impact both locally and globally. Tipping Across Europe: Essential Advice

Navigating tipping customs in Europe can be tricky, but we're here to help! Each country has its own norms.

Our recommendations are:

Transfer including luggage: 10-15 GBP/Euro

Transfer excluding luggage: 5-10 GBP/Euro

Guide for Tour up to 4 hours: 10-15 GBP/Euro

Guide for Tour more than 4 hours: 15-20 GBP/Euro

For driving tours with both a driver and a guide, double the amount and split it between them. While restaurant staff in Europe are paid normal wages, tipping around 10% is becoming more common if service is good.
