Hands Down The Smarter Way To Travel | | Featured Travel Partner
| When planning my vacation, I was ready to ditch the airport. No more long lines, waiting at terminals, or uncomfortable cramped seating for me! It was time to break the travel quo and ride with Amtrak. There are many routes to choose from that visit over 500 destinations and some of the biggest and most exciting cities in the United States and Canada. I did some research and discovered that Amtrak offers numerous travel options. I could take the Crescent Route all the way from the bustling streets of New York City to the bayous of Louisiana to experience the Big Easy's legendary food, music, and hospitality. On the way the train makes stops in idyllic Virginia and North Carolina, so I could enjoy the unique heritage and history of the American South! The more I read about the possibilities the more I realized that Amtrak was the best option for my trip, with efficient and scenic travel for a reasonable cost without sacrificing comfort or accessibility. For extra savings, I planned ahead and booked 14-days in advance. I'm so glad I can avoid the cramped style of a bus or airplane and can look forward to Amtrak's spacious seats and comfortable sleeping accommodations. Why settle for stale cookies or greasy bags of peanuts when Amtrak offers on-board dining for all budgets and most dietary restrictions? With downtown-to-downtown service and Wi-Fi available on many trains, I knew I would be able to stay connected and productive if something from work came up mid-vacation. After considering my many options, I eventually decided to reconnect with nature and take the Coast Starlight Route from star-studded Los Angeles up through the gorgeous Cascade Mountains to the tech and culinary meccas of San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle! Along the way I enjoyed stunning, panoramic coastal landscapes and the sheer majesty of the Pacific Ocean from my cozy seat. Using Amtrak for my trip was one of the best vacation decisions I've ever made. I got to relax, stretch out, and enjoy my music and a good book—with even better views—while getting where I needed to go. Why travel any other way? |
