What Did John Say About Accessible Travel to the US Sector of Commerce?

Today in Washington DC, our founder and CEO John Sage met with the US Secretary of Commerce and the US Travel and Tourism Advisory Board (TTAB). Many topics were discussed. John had the opportunity to advocate for accessibility progress in the travel industry. Read what John shared to the secretary of commerce:

“The largest untapped travel demographic is people with disabilities. It’s 20% of the population. I’ll give you an anecdote illustrating how untapped it is. I am a manual wheelchair user, I am CEO of three Accessible Travel Companies, and I receive zero accessible travel targeted ads from destinations and businesses. It’s a huge opportunity for the industry.”

The secretary was very receptive to these comments, and John will be working with the federal government in the future to make travel accessible for all.
